மார்ச் 20, 2003 வரலாற்றில் இன்று – பேரழிவு ஆயுதங்களை ஈராக் வைத்திருப்பதாக அமெரிக்க உளவுத்துறை கண்டுபிடித்திருப்பதாக பொய்யான காரணங்களைக் கூறி அமெரிக்க அதிபர் ஜார்ஜ் W புஷ் ஈராக்கின் மீது ஆக்கிரமிப்பு போரை துவக்கிய நாள் இன்று அப்படிப்பட்ட பேரழிவு ஆயுதங்கள் ஒன்றைக்கூட அவர்கள் கண்டுபிடிக்க முடியவில்லை. பல ஆயிரம் அப்பாவி மக்கள் உயிரிழந்தனர். இப்போரின் காரணமாக உலகில் கச்சா எண்ணையின் விலை பல மடங்கு அதிகரித்து இந்தியா போன்ற நாடுகளில் கடும் பொருளாதார நெருக்கடி எற்பட்டது. அமைதியும் வளமும் தவழ்ந்த ஒரு நாட்டை இன்று ஒரு கலவர பூமியாக மாற்றிய பெருமை அமெரிக்காவுக்கு உண்டு. இராக் அதிபர் சதாம் ஹுஸைன் உலக அமைதிக்கு ஒரு அச்சுறுத்தல் என்று அமெரிக்கா குற்றம் சாட்டியது. ஆனால் இன்று உலகமே அஞ்சி நடுங்கும் இஸ்லாமிய பயனகரவாதிகளின் நாடாக இராக்கை மாற்றிய பெருமையும் அமெரிக்காவையே சாரும். ஆமை புகுந்த வீடும் அமெரிக்கா புகுந்த வீடும் உருப்படாது என்று சொல்வார்கள். ஈராக்கும் ஆப்கானிஸ்தானும் அதற்கு உதாரணங்களாகும். இன்று உலகில் பேரழிவை ஏற்படுத்திவரும் ISIS, அல் கொய்தா, தாலிபான்கள் போன்ற அனைத்து பயங்கரவாத அமைப்புகளையும் உருவாக்கி வளர்த்துவிட்டதில் நேரிடையான மற்றும் மறைமுக பங்களிப்பினை அமேரிக்கா செய்துள்ளது.
வரலாற்றில் இன்றுதான் அமெரிக்கா ஈராக் மீது ஆக்கிரமிப்பு போரை துவக்கிய நாள்...!!
